I have been asked to make a documentary while traveling with C of O students and Holocaust survivors and liberators. I am very excited about this project and the ability to tell the story of some great and brave men. I know that this trip will be emotional and the scenes we visit will be tragic; both for us and for the veterans that we are traveling with. My desire to to tell the story without being invasive on the experience for all involved. That may prove difficult.
My direction (as of now) is to focus on the three survivors of the Holocaust that are traveling with us. They each have amazing stories and all are very interested in sharing their story. One of the survivors told me that “we have to tell the story so that you won’t let this happen again.” It’s going to be a powerful trip. One of the survivors has never been back since he was liberated. The other two have been back, but that does not mean it won’t be emotional. I want to tell their story. Starting with Kristalnacht and moving through their liberation. I expect it to be horrible, awesome and inspiring all in one project.

After all the shooting, I got a little backed up with my real job. So, It’s been a couple weeks, but I have been editing like mad and trying to get this video ready. I am excited for people to see it. There are things that I would still like to change, but I have just ran out of time.
A huge thanks to Mo Evans who has helped me with some After Effects and shot clean up. He is very good at what he does! The Final product is coming soon!

I was asked to produce a music video for Ancient Device’s first single (Who Shot Who) of their first album (Louder Than Words). I am very excited to work through my first directing project in more than four years. I have a great idea to have the band rob a bank with their instruments. I would like it to feel like a 1930’s gangster type of video. Bonnie and Clyde were an inspiration for the song and now for the video as well. It will take careful planning to find the right locations and props to make this whole video kind of authentic but still a little on the unbelievable side. I mean, they are robbing a bank with music. Kelly wants to add a bit of the romance and betrayal aspect into the video. I’m working on a good way to do that. It is great working with Ancient Device, but they are also giving me a lot of freedom to make some choices too. I am really excited to see where this all will end up.
